Peterborough Regional 30.04.17

Great day racing at Peterborough for Round 2 of the Regional Series. Fantastic to see nearly 30 riders riding for Ipswich and two gazebo full of Ipswich spectators!
Round 3 of the BMX East Regional Series is at IPSWICH (Landseer Park) on 14th May. Why not come along & join the fun? Racing starts at noon.

 

Our 2017 Summer Calendar is now out. Tuesday evening practice starts this Tuedsay 28th March. 6.30pm 'til dark.

Our first Go Ride Summer Series race is on 25th April. The series will consist of 9 rounds (weather permitting), fortnightly. Each round will count towards an end of series ranking. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 riders in each class at every round.

£2 entry fee for Ipswich BMX Club members. Registration closes at 6.30pm.

Dedicated coaching dates to be confirmed.

We're looking forward to seeing faces old & new at our Landseer Park track all through the summer... See you on the gate!

A big thank you to everyone involved with the club for putting on such a great race last Sunday.
The weather on the day was kind to us, if a little windy.
The club a prepared the track well in the previous weeks, given all the wet weather we had had in the months leading up to the race.

Remember Club practice & Summer Series racing begins in April every Tuesday evening at our Landseer Park track.
We host our next big race, Round 3 of the BMX East Summer Series on Sunday May 14th.

2016 Summer Series Presentation

It was great to see so many faces (old & new) out to congratulate the riders of our 2016 Go Ride Summer Series.
A big thank you to Old School Ipswich rider, Louise Howlett for making the presentations, all the riders who... competed & those club volunteers that made the series happen.
The club will continue with Tuesday evening practice/coaching sessions at Landseer Park for as long as the fading light allows.
The next big regional race on the calendar is the East Anglian Champs at Peterborough Phantoms on Sunday 25th September. It would be fantastic to see a good Ipswich BMX Club presence at this event, which is tradionally one of the most enjoyable of the year.

Summer Series Final Round & Presentation

Practice/training session this Tuesday evening (23rd Aug) at Landseer Park, with final round of our Summer Series talking place on the following Tuesday (30th Aug).
With the nights drawing in time will be tight for this round so please be prompt at we have the end of series trophy presentation at the end of racing. Trophies for top three in each class plus other awards.
We're looking to get racing underway around 6.45pm.
£2 per class & if you're new to the sport don't worry... Go Ride racing's not nearly as savage as it is in the Olympics!
