Ipswich BMX Club is the UK's longest running Bicycle Motocross Club. The club formed in 1980 and has been holding events at its Landseer park track ever since.

Join us every Tuesday evening between April & September & selected Saturdays through the winter for gate practice & coaching.

Winter Regional

The dates for this seasons East Anglia Winter Regionals have been released.
As you can see Ipswich have Round 2 on October 20th. Registration closes at 11.30am. Racing will be over 4 motos & final.
Further information can be found at BMX East.
 
Round 1      September 29th    Milton Keynes
(to include summer trophy presentation).
Round 2     October 20th      Ipswich.
Round 3         November 17th          Norwich.
Round 4         December 15th          Peterborough.
Round 5         January 19th              Braintree.

The club will be doing some pre regional track preparation on Saturday October 19th. Feel free to come over to our Landseer Park track and lend a hand from 9am. Don't forget your broom & shovels!

East Anglian Club Champs @ Braintree 08.09.13

Photos from a great days racing at Braintree BMX Club. Well done to all the competing Ipswich riders, especially Abi Pike who took the win in her respective class.
The club managed to finish an impressive third in the relay race.

EA Open Championships

The East Anglia Club Championships take place in Braintree this Sunday.
Help Ipswich beat the regions finest - No British Cycling Licence is required for this event.

Gate practice will continue as normal every Tuesday evening at Landseer Park whilst we still have the light.
Expect more time trials this week (3/9/13).

Summer Series Presentation/Parents Race

The Club made its presentation of the 2013 Go Ride/Summer Series awards last night.
It was fantastic to see so many riders at the track, & thanks to British Cycling awards were given to the top 5 riders in each class. For a list of rider rankings please click here.
An end of series parents race was run too. Everyone made it round the track in one piece, & few wheels even left the ground. Mark Dorrell took the win ahead of a hard charging Brian Taylor in second. Euan Goodman couldn’t quite emulate his glory days of racing but did manage to snag third ahead of a handicapped Lee Matthews.  Paula Gladwell took a moral victory by being the first (& only) lady across the line.

Thanks again to all riders & parents who helped to make the series a great success, hopefully we can make 2014 even better still.

Don’t forget this Sunday’s final regional race at Ipswich. Registration closes at 11.30. Get to Landseer Park early to grab some practice & sample the atmosphere.

The club will be at the track on Saturday morning (0900-noon) to carry out final preparations. Keen volunteers will be more than welcomed as we look to roll, sweep & de-weed the surface.
